Well… I already knew Kojima liked reading the first paragraph of a wikipedia page and then throwing what he thinks it is into his game… but I'll admit, I was not expecting him to make a radical misunderstanding of asexuality the secret antagonist of his new game about pee -R

Unfortunately, this is probably going to be a lot of gamers' first experience with these terms. So they'll be introduced to asexuality wrongly defined as
-A "trend" among the youth
-Celibacy/isolation
-The slippery-slope downfall of civilization

That's irresponsible writing.

Pardon my frustration, but asexuality is already so widely misunderstood - even among the small population who's actually HEARD of it - so one of the most anticipated games of the year actively misrepresenting it in one of the worst possible lights has me a Teensy Bit Livid -R

okay last addition, for those of you unclear of the definition, asexuality is

-lack of sexual attraction

it is NOT

-celibacy
-sex-repulsion
-low sex drive
-misanthropy

like if you're a straight dude you don't find men sexually appealing? aces feel like that about everyone

-It doesn't MATTER if Kojima himself believes this, because - as I said - this is going to be a lot of people's first exposure to the term, and it's misleading
-Being upset at this is not overreacting, it's Having Emotions About Something Personal To Me
