There is nothing —nothing— in either of the opening statements of two very estimable public servants that rises to the level of an “offense,” much less an impeachable offense except in fevered imaginations. They are terrific public servants. They disagreed w/ some of POTUS calls
But POTUS is the head of the Executive Branch and he makes national security policy, and if he includes among his priorities foreign interference in our election and corruption, that is his right. Fine to debate in public square. Fine to argue for a D in 2020 as a result.
Fine to compare Ukrainian policies under Presidents Obama and Trump and what it should be going forward, but while it is possible to get all the Democrats and their media allies and TDS-afflicted to chant in unison “impeach impeach” this won’t fly with the public.
