I think @Eugene_Robinson one of the best pundits on the left in the country (even for a @UMichFootball fan) and his column here shows why: washingtonpost.com/opinions/rank-… He knows the @AdamSchiff #shamshowtrial is going to be a purely partisan affair, so he's getting ahead of the story.
But not even @Eugene_Robinson and all the other commentators, reporters, editors, producers, hosts etc on the left -95% of the Manhattan-Beltway media elite- can persuade the country this is other than an absurd and wasteful distraction. @realDonaldTrump will not suffer from this
But Democrats will because first purely partisan impeachment since 1868 will sicken voters in the center who think the #Resistance silly. Expect @realDonaldTrump to run on this @AdamSchiff #shamshowtrial (and the economy, defense spending, and of course the judges) all of 2020.
