Maria Franchezka Lelis is a 13 year old grade 8 student. She is a typical teenager with high hopes of becoming a great Taekwondo player in the future. She loves going to school and likes to spend time with her family and friends.

Last November 9, 2019, roughly two weeks after she received her much awaited Black Belt, her life turned upside-down when her health started to deteriorate fast. She was diagnosed with Anti-NMDA Receptor Encephalitis...

The disease occurs when the antibodies produced by the body's own immune system attack NMDA receptors in the brain. The NMDA receptors are critical for human interaction, memory, judgement, perception of reality and the control of unconscious activities (breathing and swallowing)

The tests she had to go through in order to confirm the disease and the treatment procedure that consists of but not limited to high-dose steroids, IV immunoglobulin and tumor removal, when present, are too expensive for the family to finance...

The timeline for the treatment itself together with the rehabilitation varies depending on the need. This is the reason why GOGETFUNDING for Maria Franchezka was established. This is to open the doors for all the help that she can get. The initial fund to be raised is 2000000php
