1. For a long time now, I've scratched my head over this die-hard, protect-at-all-costs approach to Corbyn by his supporters / allies and wondered why he's so forcefully, obsessively and aggressively protected - often without any compromise. Corbyn is hailed as staunchly
2. anti-racist, fawned over as an untouchable man of peace and defended unequivocally by his devout supporters - despite his well-documented links to bigots, hate-figures, antisemites, terrorist organisations, anti-Western and anti-American factions, dictators, medieval
3. misogynists and messianic cults - whether these people are passive nobodies, intellectual somebodies or, as in all too many cases, genocidal lunatics. There's always an excuse for him and his actions, always smothered by his "goodness".

tl;dr: Enough with the "sky is falling" misinfo narrative. Masses of previously unengaged citizens aren't suddenly becoming hyper-partisan shills thanks to the spread of misinformation
Let's parse the argument a bit

1) On the first claim: no research that I've seen suggests that there are more misinformed citizens than at any time in the past. Propaganda, political rumors, and just plain wrong-headedness have been around since time immemorial.
2) The second point, that misinfo drives people to vote is more plausible, but still tricky. The opposite is just as--and maybe even more--plausible: ie, those who are very politically active are more likely to encounter and believe misinformation.

Dems are grumpy that representation in Washington remains to some extent a function of geography, just as it always has, rather than a raw poll of the national population with House seats doled out to each side proportionally.
The idea of a “House popular vote” is goofy, but insofar as House seats are subject to redistricting there’s at least a germ of legitimate grievance in it.
