We talked about how to create, promote and protect a Positive image of Rivers State through entertainment & tourism potentials we already have, and how to effectively show support for those at it already despite the State Govt's lack of tangible interest init.
He had so many great ideas and plans, and I loved him. "He should be the next Commissioner" I said in my heart, I was gonna come online to root for such a futuristic person to be appointed Commissioner, if politically appropriate.
When the discussion got to reducing "bad reports" going out of the state from our bloggers & Social media Users that tarnishes our "image".
I told him all we needed to do was to Intentionally work as a Government to reduce the negatives, then increase and highlight the positives so people would see more good things to say about us.
My ears tingled when he angrily stated that if he had the power, he would pass a law to Punish anyone that makes a post on Social Media that's hurts the "Image" of the state...then I knew he had no business anywhere close to power.
Until we realize it is our onus to choose better leaders void of tribe, creed & Party, and snap out of the self inflicted bogus mentality that a state or nation belongs to a specific political party, we will keep voting any disaster a party presents to us as a candidate...
