Couple of old pics of me and my dad at Disney.
And here's me and my Aunt Angela (my mom's youngest sister) at National Zoo. Look at that fro.
And of course: Me and Mom. Always, always, always Mom.
Me and some of my cousins and some other kids. Really hard to tell I'm an only child who is used to being the center of attention, huh?
Kinda hard to see but this is Mom and me under Dunns River Falls when I went to visit her in 2004 for Christmas.
And to end this trip, here I am totally ruining the Highland Elementary 5th grade 1986-87 class picture (I was 8-9) doing God knows what with my face. I thought it looked cool. (Mom didn't)

1. First let's start with Maximus.
2. When you're walking from the Haunted Mansion into Fantasyland, there are horseshoes with the word Maximus on it. Disney wants us to believe it is named after a horse.
3. Maximus was originally conceived as a very serious horse based on actor Tommy Lee Jones. (I don't have evidence Tommy Lee Jones is a pedo, however there are plenty of internet rumors - feel free to dig).

I’m excited.

On Monday, I’ll be starting a journey to Northern Canada to visit my hometown.

I haven’t been there in almost a decade.

It’s going to be an amazing and emotional adventure.

I’ll be gone for a little under a month.
I’ll be using this as a thread to record my adventures, that way you can check here to see what’s new or where I’m at next (or mute it if you don’t want to be inundated).

I won’t have internet connection all the time once I’m up there, so updates will eventually come in chunks.

I was born & raised in Chicoral, Colombia. A tiny town in the middle of the Andes Cordillera.
I attended Nuestra Señora del Rosario school, located in Espinal, 15Km away from Chicoral. Due to the high heat by noon, all schools start really early back home. This meant, I had to wake up at 5am to attend school every morning since I was 4 years old. #VoicesIWS
I did well in math and science in elementary and high school, so I chose to study clinical microbiology. Although coming from a low-middle income family, I was able to attend university, thanks to my parents’ effort to prioritize education over other commodities. #VoicesIWS

1/ While most have come around to the viability of #Disney’s OTT service, many remain lukewarm on its prospects. I’m very bullish for 8 reasons, most of which I find overlooked or downplayed. I also don’t worry about the fact that it’ll take years for Disney to be ‘all in’.
2/ Reason 1: IP. We all know Disney’s IP is bar none, but it’s even stronger than you think (URL). Furthermore, Disney can always use this IP to plug any SVOD performance shortfall. Given the platform’s importance, I expect they’ll do this whenever needed redef.com/original/disne…
3/ If Disney ever needs to shore up usage or subs, they’ll spin-up a new Marvel/Star Wars/Pixar/Disney series or shift a film to SVOD. To date, live-action films such as ‘Lady & The Tramp’ and ‘Noelle Claus’ have already been moved from theatrical releases to streaming exclusives
