Separately, #USS have been dragging their feet in providing technical documents to the Pension Regulator. It took them 9 DAYS to pass on these requested documents to tPR by email ...
even this incremental progress - the regulated body sending some existing documents to the regulator by email - took the combined exhortations of Sam Marsh and the CFO of Cambridge University to achieve.
Why should UK Universities and staff continue to tolerate such dismal partial performance from Bill Galvin and the USS Executive?

Bill Galvin acts as if he is still heading the regulator - though now with a vastly higher salary - and that transparency and scrutiny are not his concern. #InverseRegulatoryCapture
Enough is enough - the problems with USS start at the top, and we can't move on until Bill Galvin has moved on. Surely the time has come for UUK and UCU to unite around this common ground. Time for a new broom, and for a well-run USS that welcomes transparency and scrutiny.
