Taylor is not a Democrat. The Trump admin recruited him out of retirement in June

Chevron
Netflix
Starbucks

1. Wisconsin could play a decisive role in 2020.

Trump beat Clinton by 23K votes (out of 3M cast) in 2016.

Now, a right-wing advocacy group has convinced a judge to immediately purge 200K voters from the rolls.

It sounds bad.

2. In October, Wisconsin's election board sent out 234K to people who may have moved.

They did this in 2017 with a 30 day time period to respond.

But the process kicked TENS OF THOUSANDS OF ELIGIBLE VOTERS OFF THE ROLLS

3. So this time, the Wisconsin election board (3Ds, 3Rs) unanimously decided to send the letters but NOT immediately kick off people who didn't respond.

They would wait until 2021

@ProPublica has learned that Mexico's former security minister, Genaro Garcia Luna, has been indicted on corruption charges in NY and arrested in Grapevine, Tx. Source says Garcia Luna had "all kinds of pictures with US officials in his unassuming one bedroom."
The arrest comes as part of a broad investigation into Mexican corruption, following the trial against Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzman. Garcia Luna was accused during the trial of taking cartel bribes as far back as 2005. nytimes.com/2018/11/20/nyr…
During his time as Mexico’s security minister, from 2006-2012, he worked closely with the DEA, and oversaw the SIU program, or Sensitive Investigative Units. Those units were notoriously leaky, as I reported for @ProPublica and @NatGeo in 2018. One leak triggered a massacre.

3/ Michael Cohen and Felix Sater were scouting out sites for Trump. Some were in central Moscow—where there are strict high limits.

To build the big Trump Tower there, they would have needed a variance.

propublica.org/article/women-… Ah, the “just joking” defense. You know, unless the women he asked to have threesomes or allow themselves to be impregnated said yes. At what point, the “joke” morphs into a serious offer that is immediately acted upon.
And one reason this "just joking" defense doesn't fly is that in sexual banter is a classic way, in consensual encounters, to determine if someone's down without losing face. Adults of 20 know this, and certainly when they're in their 60s, 70s, and 80s.
I mean, I don't think there are many circumstances where the opening banter is requests to impregnate someone or requests for threesomes, but most of us are familiar with the use of jokes in *consenting* situations to gauge interest.

The same shell company that Michael Cohen used to pay $130K to Stormy Daniels had also received $500K in 2017 from a firm linked to Russian oligarch Viktor Vekselberg.
At the heart of the story is an investment firm called Columbus Nova, which has close links to Renova Group, a conglomerate founded by Russian billionaire Viktor Vekselberg. A Columbus Nova spokesman has said the payments to Cohen were for unspecified investment consulting.
