TwitterLand! I have landed! And because I am on my US # again I was able to hear a voicemail from my OBGYN telling me that my biopsy is negative which is a big relief because I have been waiting for that result since before Thanksgiving.
It was a fucking painful biopsy, my god.
One of the physicians’ assistants who I love and have known for years through the clinic: “I said you’re a tough one. They broke your arms. I remember.”
Me: It was fucking painful, Tanya!”

Awaiting a biopsy result sharpens everything. It’s a reminder of Audre Lorde’s essay reminding us “your silence will not protect you,” which I believe she wrote while awaiting a biopsy result.
