Congratulations to @datarobot on acquiring @Paxata. This is an interesting acquisition for multiple reasons.

1) Data prep is a necessary aspect of machine learning and applied AI. Prep is currently the biggest part of the data scientist's job

2) this acquisition shows @datarobot's perspective that data prep is more of a feature than a market. Just as every enterprise app platform needs BI, every standalone AI platform will require prep.

3) Paxata's product roadmap was already heavily AI focused, both in providing AI-enabled prep and in aligning data prep to AI model selection. This acquisition will accelerate Paxata's progress.

4) Paxata's team also included a number of enterprise software heavyweights who can continue to help DataRobot grow: @nenshad @cmaddox @ploubser among others.

5) I'm also interested in seeing how @Paxata may be able to improve DataRobot acquisitions @Cursor & @ParallelM_AI for catalog and MLOps

With @datarobot's investments in @cursor and now @Paxata for data prep & collaboration, DataRobot solidifies its role as the market leading platform to accelerate machine learning.

This focus on supporting machine learning supply chain will likely lead to further acquisition
