Moreover, @eliseviebeck @rachaelmbade and @ColbyItkowitz write that “Trump has denied a relationship” with Daniels, not bothering to note his hush money payment to her, which landed his lawyer, Michael Cohen, in jail and which was very likely a campaign finance law violation. /2
The rest of the article documents “name-calling” and “insults” only from the GOP. So this is a wildly misleading headline, and not just misleading but damaging to democracy in that it promotes a false narrative of cynicism about “Washington” or “politics” in general./3
The “both sides” narrative is not only inaccurate, then, it also helps the GOP, which depends upon popular cynicism about government and politics. /4
