Boiled down to its core argument — on top of which is piled tons of extraneous data, to try to cover up its weakness — is idea that white supremacist antisemites (who btw also hate Arabs/Muslims) may opportunistically add criticism of Israel into their anti-Jewish repertoire.

This reminds me of years ago when I was attacked for factually reporting on Israeli settlement policy — was told that such reports just give fuel to antisemites. As if the report was the problem, not the policies/actions that were taking place.

The report actually coins a term for this: “contagion”: a new anti-free-speech concept under which your legitimate free speech — if it is cherry-picked & exploited by people w/ a different, illegitimate cause — is held legally & morally to blame for their sins.

As I have been saying over & over now for the past 3 years: pay attention to what these people are saying.

They are telling you their plans.

They mean it.

And when they come for your free speech, don’t say you weren’t warned.

Also, take a look at the list of authors/backers of today’s report.

The amount backing and investment behind this work is staggering.

The timing of this - days after Trump’s EO - is remarkable, to say the least.

If you aren’t taking this seriously, you truly are a fool.

And it has been pointed out to me be several folks on Twitter that most of these groups are backed by the Merona Foundation, the steering committee of which includes Adam Milstein (among other fun folks):
