Watching a mailing list discuss having a code of conduct and watching the same old arguments and the same old kicking and screaming over regarding why you might need a code of conduct and damn, I saw this whole thing so many times, so tired

Level 3: Someone from the Bill and Ted contingent goes "why not make ot 'Be excellent to each other'" forgetting that the entire subculture isn't 15 guys you've eaten pizza with
Level 4: Someone lays out a story in the community that makes the equivant of everyone dropping silent for 3 minutes and someone coughing uncomfortably
Level 5: what should have been goddamned level 1 begins in half earnest
I'm not feeling well so I fast forwarded to unsubscribing from the list, saving myself tons of time
