Just to mention: I ordered a box of those Harry and David pears on request (even got a promo code for free shipping). They said it'd be.. about a week. I assume they're coming soon.

In that week, 7 days, the disposable address I gave Harry and David has recieved over 45 e-mails.
Harry and David have cajoled, announced, blasted, and sent these thicc come-ons across this week and I haven't spam banned them JUST in case the pears need some sort of update/arrival. But there's thirsty, there's holiday thirsty, and there's Harry and David Thirsty.
Harry died in 1959, by the way. David in 1950. The company was turned into a diverse corporation in 1972, went public in 1976, acquired by RJR Nabisco, then Shaklee Corporation, then Yamanouchi Pharmaceutical, then was bought by two Private Equity Firms, then SURPRISE bankrupt.
After emerging from bankruptcy and of course the never-to-be-solved mystery of how a 100 year old business went bankrupt under private equity, it was sold to 1-800-Flowers.

So now, they do fruit and e-mail. Lots of fruit. Lots of e-mail.
