BBC's Editorial Guidelines say:

You can read paragraph 4.3.11 of the Editorial Guidelines here. I have used the BBC's complaints procedure and will report back if I get a substantive response. bbc.com/editorialguide…
The BBC totally dominates the news agenda in the UK and Laura Kuenssberg is the most important journalist at it. These remarks are a long way from the proper conduct of an independent broadcaster. If the complaint is dismissed I will take advice on legal remedies.

Sorry to those upset by my tweet. My chickens were very distressed by the fox - both before and after I'd despatched it - and I wanted it out of the way quickly.
I was slightly shocked by the whole tooth-and-claw experience when I tweeted and that was what I was trying to convey. But my tweet, one of a number about keeping chickens in urban London, should have conveyed that better.
What's especially unfortunate is that I've already started to investigate the enormous harm done by factory farming, with a view to acting in that space in 2020. It would be a pity if my misguided tweets inhibited that. I'll try to do better. adamcorlett.com/2019/10/03/the…

No one should relish killing animals - and I certainly didn't. But if you haven't been up close to a large trapped fox, perhaps reserve judgment.
Many or most Councils in London treat foxes as an urban pest. And at least one recommends clubbing them (says the MP)
To those concerned I have broken the law, I called and spoke to the RSPCA and left my contact details.

Rather than trading insults - fun though it is - on twitter I'd be happy to come and talk to @piersmorgan about why we should all be worried about a state-backed broadcaster that internalises and regurgitates the narrative of the Government of the day.
This is what the BBC's Brexitcast sneers at the EU for wondering (listen to yourself from 42:25 bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0…). Yet, as the FT's Daily Brexit Briefing observes, it was what senior Tories were briefing and what EU commentators here were wondering.
Not hard to understand why the Government might now want to say 'only the stupid EU could possibly have thought a big Johnson win will mean a softer Brexit'. But why is the BBC pushing a narrative which it must know to be false?

That means, above all else, remaining loyal to the first principles of the movement and being honest with your members, despite the protestations of donors, interest groups and the Left. That includes making your leadership available for corrective criticism from your members.
