Fishlake is preparing for a visit by HRH Prince Charles.

He was then introduced to council staff and emergency services who helped with the response and recovery to the floods across the borough.

Whilst walking through the village he visited some of the homes which had been impacted by the floods and spoke to many local residents about their experiences.
There was a big crowd to greet HRH Prince Charles outside @fishlakefodder.
He had a chat with the owners Claire and Louise, who helped provide plenty of hot drinks and food during the flood recovery effort in the village.

There was also chance to stop off in the Hare and Hounds pub for a swift half and a chat with the owners.
St Cuthberts Church in Fishlake has been the centre of the recovery effort, particularly for donations, and HRH Prince Charles spoke to many of the volunteers who had helped there.
And finally it was to the Village Hall for a cup of tea and to meet some more residents of Fishlake, Bentley and Stainforth affected by the floods.
