Right now a red rose twitter guy is telling me I should take the "commie" out of my handle because I love Nancy Pelosi, but Cenk Uygur's $5 million is "self-made" as opposed to the others who are "for profit."

So let's talk about faith vs. works.

I shouldn't say this because it's incredibly self-aggrandizing, but I make less than my employees at Wonkette. And I just took a further paycut so I could hire two more people at that same "more than I make." Except for me -- again, less -- everyone makes the same.

The company pays a lot of bills for me (phone/internet/even office, plus the best health insurance possible) that most people don't have access to. So this year everyone's raise is the company will pay that for them too. (They already had the same insurance.)

Other years, raises have been more like 10 percent. For me? No. And I'm still paying off a LOT of debt. Because it was important to me not to exploit contract labor. (The remaining freelancers we have annualize out to the same rate, including the raises, minus the health care.)

Why do I do this? Am I ACTUAL JESUS? No, though all my mother's children have a messiah complex.

But I DO find it more important to LIVE MY FAITH (socialist-like-Bernie-style American liberal) through my WORKS (not heroin works).

So if you're in my mentions telling me what a shit commie I am, while stanning for the guy who's made $5 million off Republican money while bagging on "corrupt" Nancy Pelosi?

Then I think -- I'm pretty sure -- I'm a better person than him, and you. Because he -- and you -- are all fucking talk.

And if your answer is "you shouldn't have employees why aren't you destroying capitalism instead," I already see you. And you're a fucking moron.

Now I'll go pack up the merch my husband makes us so I can keep hiring more people.
