For many years in Vermont, @WhereMyImusAt was my go to morning radio program.I wrote a poem after his Brother Fred died traveloguefortheuniverse.blogspot.com/2011/08/for-fr… He used to say on air, when you write, never start a sentence with “Suddenly “. I like to think he was talking to me. loved that guy❤️
So many reports of his death focus on his racist comment about a women’s basketball team made on air. No one mentions his Regret, Meeting with the Team, asking for forgiveness. He and his wife built a ranch for kids with cancer and gave them Incredible memories and experiences.
His life intertwined with mine. That Irreverent Voice who worshipped the Baby Jesus. The Distraction from my Struggles through working as a nurse and eventually disability from Multiple Sclerosis. I wrote about him a lot. traveloguefortheuniverse.blogspot.com/search?q=Imus

His Wife founding the Hackensack Environmental Center and “Greening the Cleaning “, exposed the Toxic cleaners used in homes and hospitals. Cut through his rough and tough exterior and consider his Honesty as a Human was his greatest attribute, I will miss him. R.I.P. fin

When a sleepy town in Vermont nearly sold my property for taxes 9 months late, they denied me, girl CoOwner the Right to Due Process. I understand what that is like. It’s a Horrible place to be. Unconstitutional. Wrong.

Post office lady said My Husband CoOwner should have told me. Me, Girl. Nope, they took away my right to due process. 😢

Then he said “The Town will just lie and break down on the stand like on Perry Mason”. I gave up, surrendered. The hardest fight I ever walked away from. 😩

I feel a kindred spirit with @POTUS . My Century Farm was for sale by the Town of Monkton, Vermont. I was a CoOwner with my husband. We were 9 Months Late paying $10,000. The Progressive town Did Not Notice Me.

2) The White kids in your schools and libraries -- their existence as White people is affirmed every single day. At every turn. They see a mirror.
3) As you look at this or that book--and make sure it is one by a Native writer--think about the content of that book. You're looking at it now because of Native heritage month but--what is the bk about? When else--during the year--can you use that book?
