In case you were wondering my thoughts on these things:
The Witcher: 90s syndicated TV fantasy with 10s streaming money + boobs
The Mandalorian: Baby Yoda distracts from mostly meh plots/dialogue
I enjoyed them both! But they were mostly just okay with occasional high points.

Also, to be clear, I'm okay with them being mostly just okay (with occasional high points). "Mostly just okay" entertainment fits my mood and attention span on a regular basis. Sometimes you just crave Taco Bell, if you get my drift.
What was the best TV I watched this year? Easy: Chernobyl. Bleak as fuck, as it should have been, but utterly compelling start to finish. If @clmazin did nothing else with his life from here on out, he'd still have his masterpiece (but, you know, keep working, dude).
(Watchmen was also very very good, and also, sooooooooo much better than I was anticipating it would be. I did NOT have high expectations for that one, folks. It was nice to be wrong.)
