It simultaneously is true that Soleimani was preparing more attacks. He just tried to siege our embassy!
Why is the name Nawres Hamid virtually absent from CNN and MSNBC's coverage of the strike against Soleimani?
Literally ZERO results

The media doesn't care

Zero results for Nawres Hamid, the American contractor killed by Soleimani on Dec 27th, in CNN, MSNBC, or NYT

(The only NYT result is an AP story)

Exactly - most of what Obama officials, led by John Brennan (now of NBC), said in the first few days about the bin Laden killing turned out to be outright lies - self-serving myths - so we should be very skeptical of Trump WH claims until there's evidence theguardian.com/world/2011/may…
These flashy, dramatic killings of leaders of designated terror groups rarely accomplish much beyond catharsis, but Democrats who constructed Obama's reelection campaign around OBL's killing ("bin Laden dead/GM alive") will have a hard time credibly minimizing or dismissing this.
It's genuinely fascinating watching Democrats in real time struggle to figure out what to say about this. They want to be patriotic and anti-ISIS, but also need a way to malign Trump without contradicting their gushing Obama praise over OBL: not an easy balancing act. Good luck!

The left fears that unless blacks continue to believe #Republicans are #racists , they will not overwhelmingly vote Democrat, and if they don't, #Democrats will not regain the White House for the foreseeable future.
The same holds true for depicting Republicans and conservatives as women haters. There is no better way to persuade college-indoctrinated women to vote Democrat.
And the same holds true for Latinos -- Republicans must be continuously labeled "white supremacists" and "xenophobes" or they, too, may not reliably vote Democrat.

1. I've said this before, but it bears repeating. The socialized programs that we see in Europe didn't simply emerge as successful programs. These programs were committed to and refined across administrations. This passing of the baton is excruciatingly rare in American politics.
2. Instead, cling to the pendulum swing. A swing from majority ideology to ideology - a continual construction and destruction of progress. Granted, it has rarely been as blatant as we see with the current administration- where destruction of the previous admin is paramount.
3. Any new program is going to have problems. If the response to these problems is to attack not only the creators, but the premise, then the opposing party can rally enough support to take a majority and, effectively, do a 180. We do this over and over.
