My unsolicited theory on Meghan Markle (aided by @AmeliaHammy observations)...MM always wanted to be famous. There are many stories about her scheming to get on reality shows or get matched up with controversial celebrities just for some publicity.
When she met Harry (and I do believe it's a love match, she's not faking) she finally found the pathway to global fame and wasn't NOT going to take it. The problem is that when you join the royal family that type of fame is grossly restricted.
It isn't really the "fun" type of fame. You don't get to wave at the paps while shoe-shopping in Milan with Beyonce. You don't get to be snapped at Madonna's birthday party holding a glass of champagne and a cigarette.
You don't get to wear the latest sexiest fashions. You don't get to be adored in non-stop interviews and you don't get to talk about yourself in public very much. She always wanted to be "friends" with the celebrity uppercrust but no one knew who she was, or cared.
And now that her husband's family gives her permanent A++ celebrity status the sad irony is that she can't exploit these new "friendships" publicly, can't use them to get more acting gigs or more attention. She's not even really allowed to hang out with most people.
Meghan wants to go back to acting, to be a bonafide celebrity, not one who is trapped behind palace gates, forced to wear pantyhose and isn't allowed to show any emotion on her face except "smile". Which sounds easy but you try doing it for even 2 hours.
So Meg gets Harry to abdicate, they move back to North America and she gets to finally be the real celebrity she always dreamed of being. Does anyone believe for a minute she wants Archie to have a "normal" life? Harry might, but No, SHE wants to have a celebrity life.
So get ready to see Meg at Netflix working with the Obamas and Oprah. I gotta hand it to the girl...she made a plan and executed it. If you don't like Meg now...Celebrity Meg is going to be insufferable. But I'm here for it!
