The House Intelligence Committee has released new impeachment evidence, including notes taken by Lev Parnas and a letter from Rudy Giuliani to Volodymyr Zelensky.
They're exactly as damning as you'd expect.

"President Trump knew exactly what was going on. He was aware of all my movements. I wouldn't do anything without the consent of Rudy Giuliani or the president."
@maddow According to Parnas, Trump didn't care about corruption: "It was all about Joe Biden, Hunter Biden ... It was never about corruption. It was strictly about Burrisma, which included Hunter Biden and Joe Biden."
@maddow When he met with Ukrainian officials, Parnas says, he was very clear about his role: He was speaking for Trump—and routinely called up Giuliani to have him confirm it.

In late August, Pompeo, Bolton, and Secretary of Defense Mark Esper reportedly tried to convince Trump to release aid to Ukraine.
He refused—until a few weeks later, when the whistleblower complaint and congressional investigations forced him to repent. nytimes.com/2019/12/29/us/…
The decision to withhold aid left a long paper trail. It shows a concerted effort to find questionably legal workarounds to evade scrutiny—and *none* of the after-the-fact anti-corruption rationale Trump and his defenders now claim.

(Correction: Congressional pressure and the whistleblower forced Trump to *relent,* not *repent,* which he still hasn’t done—on the Ukraine front, where he maintains his behavior was perfect, or on any other subject.)

To correct, according to the House these handwritten notes were "written by his client" meaning apparently Giuliani.

While we are on the subject of Mr. McGahn: Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson in Washington is expected to rule today in a lawsuit by House lawmakers that has sought to compel McGahn's testimony related to obstruction counts in Mueller probe. If lawmakers win today...
and if the judge says WH aides/staff are compelled to testify and obey Congress, the ruling would have major implications for any witness testimony moving forward in the impeachment process.

NYT - Hunter Biden was warned by associates who had experience in Ukraine to stay away from Mykola Zlochevsky, the owner of Burisma Holdings, who had worked in the government of former Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych.

Zlochevsky faced multiple internal/external investigations for money laundering, Yanukovych-era corruption, tax evasion and the granting of gas licenses.
