Feng “Franklin” Tao of Kansas was indicted for fraud for hiding that was he was working for the CCP/#China while at the same time working for the University of Kansas Center for Environmentally Beneficial Catalysis.
No doubt IMO that he was part of the CCP/China's Thousand Talents Program.

The US Dept of Energy funded his research at Univ of Kentucky.

Military training simulator company Quantadyn Corporation, one of its owners David Joseph Bolduc,and Keith Alan Seguin & Rubens Wilson Fiuza Lima we’re indicted for bribery and government contract fraud.
Quantadyn provides simulator training to the military.

Quantadyn and it’s owner Bolduc paid over $2.3 million in bribes to Seguin, who was a civilian employee of the 502 Trainer Development Squadron at Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio. He was also involved with government contracts in his job.

A complaint was filed against another seafood (and salad) processing company for unsanitary conditions.

This one is against Home Style Foods Inc, their President Michael J. Kowalski, & Quality Manager Juan Valesquez. They had repeated safety violations & failed to correct them.

#Thread Ever since visiting Beallsville and my partner's Civil War ancestor's grave, I've been pondering what *my* family has lost, in known history, because of the Genocide.
My partner has taken me to many, many cemeteries around western PA, some of them dating to the 18th century, and been able to point them out as ancestors.

That's kind of incredible, to me.
The top of this thread has a picture of the restored interior of the St. Giragos church of Diyarbakir, in Turkey. My Bakkalian ancestors helped build that church. But past my great-grandfather's generation, I can't tell you what their names were, or where they're buried.

@CourthouseNews Even beyond the Epstein case, this is a big deal. Wealthy defendants have funded their private pre-trial jails for a long time in multiple cases.

Pre-arrest? No. If you've already been arrested, though, the judge (not the police) has the power to limit your freedom of movement as a condition of your bail / pre-trial release
In cash bail states (including NC), I've only seen a jurisdiction restriction once. More common in federal cases, and I would imagine also in states that try to mimic the federal non-cash system.

(By "jurisdiction restriction" I mean "don't leave the state." Lesser restrictions – "don't go to X place" – are standard in trespass and domestic violence cases)

* When junior people see their managers as very strong, they might be scared to share their opinion
* When senior people see their managers as strong on things that don't make sense, they might think they're an idiot and not say anything
I think the best thing we can do with our teams is create a vulnerability based trust where we can be who we really are. We're never as strong as when we're ourselves.

1. The main takeaway for politicians and pundits should be that populist parties are NOT the voice of the people! In fact, in almost all countries they are BY FAR the least favored party!
2. Favorability gap between populist and traditional parties is massive in North and substantial in much of South! This is even the case with left populist Podemos (less favorable than PP, although poll before govt crisis!) and most normalized populist radical right party, DF!
