1. Who won and lost the #DemDebate last night?

Bernie Sanders won, though @PeteButtigieg had a decent night. But Bernie is leading in Iowa and no one took him down. The losers in order were @amyklobuchar, @ewarren and @CNN because Bernie's supporters are right, #CNNisTrash.
@PeteButtigieg @amyklobuchar @ewarren @CNN Let's do the losers.

@amyklobuchar had a strong performance last time, though she didn't get any real momentum out of it. She definitely won't now.

She was forgetting her clearly canned lines, and appeared to be lost fiddling with her notes. She was either unprepared or choked.
@PeteButtigieg @amyklobuchar @ewarren @CNN 3. Despite @CNN doing everything to handicap @BernieSanders, @ewarren came across as an inauthentic liar.

No one outside of CNN believes her planted false story. She needed this debate to make up a ton of lost ground and to arrest a plummet in fundraising.

She didn't deliver.
@PeteButtigieg @amyklobuchar @ewarren @CNN @BernieSanders 4. Bernie Sanders was, once again, the only authentic candidate on the stage, especially when he was asked about that planted story.

He handled Joe Biden on the Iraq War though could've bloodied him up badly on his other, many foreign policy failures.

Biden also appeared lost.
@PeteButtigieg @amyklobuchar @ewarren @CNN @BernieSanders 5. Speaking of Joe Biden, I'm well aware of the Monmouth Poll showing him up by 6 points. I simply don't find it credible for several reasons.

First, Iowa is about organization and Biden's is NOT good. Even his most avid supporters have complained about his spotty presence...
@PeteButtigieg @amyklobuchar @ewarren @CNN @BernieSanders 6. Second, the Iowa caucuses are very difficult to poll, and polls are notoriously inaccurate. In 2016, for instance, Monmouth had Clinton as high as +22 before their final at +5. They gave O'Malley 6%.

Clinton edged Bernie by 0.2%, with a better caucus ground game than Biden.
@PeteButtigieg @amyklobuchar @ewarren @CNN @BernieSanders 7. Thirdly, when Iowa caucus polls are in conflict, Selzer & Co. gets the benefit of the doubt. She knows how to poll those caucuses.

In 2008, she had it Obama +7. He won by 7.8.

In 2016, she had it Clinton +3, vs. Gravis Clinton +11, Emerson Clinton +8, Q & ARG Sanders +3.
@PeteButtigieg @amyklobuchar @ewarren @CNN @BernieSanders 8. Point being, if it's not obvious already, Joe Biden hasn't led in Iowa by that large a margin since a poll conducted 8/1 - 8/4.

And guess which poll that was? Monmouth! Biden +9.

The DM Register/CNN Poll conducted by Selzer & Co. hasn't given Biden that lead since June.
@PeteButtigieg @amyklobuchar @ewarren @CNN @BernieSanders 9. Since then, Selzer & Co. had:

Warren +2 in September

Buttigieg +9 in November

Sanders +3 in January

January survey was conducted only a week before Monmouth was in the field. Biden's bus tour is over. It makes no sense.

Clearly different views of the race and I trust one.
