One of the European parliament's Union Jacks will be sent to the EU's House of History next month. The rest will be taken down at an unconfirmed time.

So Brexit party MEPs will not get the flag-lowering 'last days of empire' ceremony they wanted.
European parliament is also shaking up its Brexit personnel.
*Guy Verhofstadt steps back and Brexit Steering Group disbanded.
*Enter... the UK co-ordination committee: featuring David McAllister, Nathalie Loiseau and Bernd Lange.
All three lead big committees that will be involved closely in future UK-EU talks. Loiseau on security and defence; Lange, trade and McAllister, foreign affairs.

They will be joined by other MEPs and will have to keep in line 705 MEPs in this unprecedented negotiation.
Instead of big flag-lowering moment, EP president David Sassoli will lead a low-key ceremony after Brexit vote on 29 January.
And it's *not* British MEPs last day today, because they will all come to Brussels for final week of Jan. It's their last day in Strasbourg.
