Two months later, and finally getting to more of the promised Disney+ reviews. Tonight I'm looking at the two requests from @AwesomeHyperon.

First off the Avengers Assemble episode The Dark Avengers. Now before I get to the review let me explain my history with the series.
Namely... I didn't ever give this series a proper chance. I watched the first episode when it was new, found it vastly inferior to Earth's Mightiest Heroes, and didn't bother watching any more. And apparently this lasted five seasons. Odd. Point is, I got baggage here.
This episode was part of season 2, and from what I could tell was in the middle of an Infinity Stone storyline. And it seemed to fit in well enough with that while still standing on it's own. Overall it was a rather enjoyable episode.

...that being said, I have some problems.
The whole thing just felt a little too rushed. I couldn't help but compare it to the Justice League two parter A Better World where they had two episodes to better flesh out how these heroes were different as villains and how the world was changed. And it pales in comparison.
They barely establish what was different and why, then immediately jump into the heroes realizing the issue and turning their back on being evil. That just... Didn't make sense to me. And was very unsatisfying. Also, the Squadron Supreme just wasn't well explained here.
But like I saidsaid, it was still an enjoyable Episode in and of itself, I just felt like the concept could have been executed so much better that it left me feeling disappointed.

Also, Dr. Spectrum is so perfectly cast that I wish the other Squadron members were JL voices.
...and wait, Sonic the Hedgehog was Captain America? What?

Uh, anyways, all in all a fun enough Episode of what seems to be a fine enough series. ...but I think I'll take EMH any day. Hope you aren't too disappointed it wasn't 100% positive, Hyperon. I just wanted to be honest.
And now for something completely different... An episode of Talespin. No specific episode was requested so I chose the body swapping episode. Because that's a staple of kids cartoons that I always found fascinating.

I have never seen this series before this, by the way.
Ooh boy, this was certainly by the books. The two swap bodies and yet keep their own voices. Despite not sounding anything alike, everyone just accepts it. They try each other's activities and learn that it isn't as easy as they thought. Some time limit is overcome to swap back.
I have seen this a million times, and this is just... One of them. It was ok. Nothing special. The Characters seem fine enough but kind of cliche for the time. The villain was cool, though DuckTales 2017 kind of made me not able to take him serious. The animation was good.
All in all, it was a very average, very ok late 80s/early 90s cartoon for kids. Not quite as good as DuckTales, but not quite so bad as to be forgotten. It was inoffensively fine.
Well, hope you were happy enough with those reviews, Hyperon. I'm glad to have checked them out.

And I hope to finish these tomorrow, but we'll see what happens. Definitely expect at least one review tomorrow, though.
