1/ You know what's funny? I also can't think of a single instance where Trump has expressed sincere concern about corruption, but I can think of loads of times he's done the opposite.

Isn't that funny?
2/ It was barely a week ago that one of his top advisors said that Trump, whom we're to believe cares deeply about foreign corruption, was thinking of weakening a law that's literally called the *Foreign Corrupt Practices Act* bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
3/ Questions have already been raised about whether the Trump administration is enforcing the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act as vigorously as it should npr.org/2017/11/08/561…
4/ Trump has personally been railing against the FCPA for years.

Here he is on TV in 2015 railing against the law a month after he inked a business deal with one of the most corrupt families in one of the most corrupt countries in the world...
5/ And there's the not so subtle fact that in that deal, which involved business partners who are known to be financed by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, he probably violated the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act! newyorker.com/magazine/2017/…
6/ And it's probably not the only time Trump violated the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act! propublica.org/article/trump-…
7/ What about corruption in Ukraine specifically? Well, the Trump administration has sought repeatedly to cut foreign aid programs tasked with combating corruption in a number of countries, *including Ukraine* ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ washingtonpost.com/us-policy/2019…
8/ Then there's the fact that Trump's administration has been riddled with unprecedented ethics scandals, both in quality and quantity. Multiple cabinet members have left under a cloud of ethics scandals, at least one might be under criminal investigation. politico.com/story/2019/07/…
9/ And during his three years in office, Trump himself has paid or been ordered to pay $27 million in legal settlements for fraud and charity-abuse.

Here's the latest washingtonpost.com/politics/trump…
10/ Should I keep going? How bout the fact that one of the first things Trump did in office was to weaken SEC regulations that required oil and gas companies to disclose bribes paid to foreign governments? npr.org/2019/10/09/768…
11/ Or the fact that he's getting close to 3,000 conflicts of interest in office? citizensforethics.org/trump-conflict…
12/ Or the fact that a recording caught oil execs at a Ritz Carlton laughing about how much direct access they have to officials in the Trump administration—one of whom is *their own former lawyer* politico.com/magazine/story…
13/ Or the fact that the founder of the country's largest payday lending company tells fellow payday lenders that his status as a major political donor gets him a direct line to the President of the United States? washingtonpost.com/business/2019/…
14/ I could literally do this all night long.

The claim that Trump cares about corruption at all deserves nothing but scorn and ridicule.
