One thing that's not mentioned in the NYT account is that the account set up to send me threats -- including the threat to murder any child I had -- existed for only a few days but was followed by some high-profile people in Bernie circles. People including Elizabeth Bruenig. 
It was pretty clearly someone's alt, and given the predilection certain Very Nice Christian Writers have for wedging classical references (Odysseus, characters from the Satyricon) into mundane statements, I always wonder whose alt it was.
Anyway, here's the conversation someone had at the time w/ Liz about why she followed the death threat account. She's deleted her side, but you can probably see it followed a familiar pattern of her freaking out, proclaiming innocence and telling the other person they were mean.

She never provided an explanation at the time for why she'd follow a burner account set up specifically to send threats, or how she knew to follow it immediately after it was created. Nor has she now, for all the wailing that I have committed Meanness in even suspecting her.
We've entered the part where Liz has a ladylike swoon upon the fainting couch, which is where things end up whenever anyone holds her accountable, but (a) "I'm not a harasser, it's just that all my friends harass you" has never been much of a defense and (b) still no answer.
