There are 3 major HWWs: @Ledger, @COLDCARDwallet, and @Trezor (whose wallet kraken hacked ^). Each use different security features, but only Coldcard is BTC only. These are HD wallets, which allow generating new addresses (a privacy best practice). Great for continuous stacking.

These wallets also allow you to load your addresses into Bitcoin Core in order to check balances and transactions without relying on 3rd party services like blockchain.info. Also good for privacy because you don't connect your IP address and BTC addresses!

There are also many physical wallets, which have been extensively stress-tested by @lopp (jlopp.github.io/metal-bitcoin-…). These are non-digital and obviously physically insecure (unsafe if physically exposed to a adversary).

Phyiscal wallets involves physically writing your key/seed, and after generation, they aren't exposed to the digital world (offline or internet-connected devices). However, they are exposed to all the dangers of the phyiscal world and human error: Beware typos and word order!

I suggest @wasabiwallet or @SamouraiWallet if you have Android. These 2 have great privacy focus and strong principles.
