1) 152,100 fentanyl pills, 6.6 pounds of powder fentanyl, 38 pounds of meth seized in two separate investigations by Phoenix PD & DEA Task Force.

2) pills "Mexican Oxy" during a traffic stop near 67th ave & Mcdowell. The driver identified as Sergio Torres Meza, 28, charged with possession for sale charges.

The second incident occurred this Thursday when Phoenix Police Detectives assigned to DEA

3) task force, identified a local drug trafficker who was involved in the distribution of large quantities of fentanyl pills. Investigators developed enough intel to conduct a traffic stop & made contact with 20-year old Alexis Meza at 24th street & Thomas. Investigators found a

4) small backpack under the front passenger seat containing several hundred counterfeit oxycodone pills. A search of the trunk led to the discovery of a box containing 33 burrito-shaped packages containing 120,000 fentanyl pills. Detectives then served a search warrant at Meza's

8) the Sinaloa Cartel & Cártel Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG) are likely the primary trafficking groups responsible for smuggling fentanyl into the United States from Mexico. To date, the fentanyl synthesis & fentanyl pill production operations dismantled in Mexico have occurred

9) in Sinaloa controlled territory. For the record, the state of Arizona is Sinaloa Cartel territory and has dominated the state for quite some time. The CJNG is the fastest-growing cartel in Mexico. Any discussion of designating cartels as foreign terrorist organizations (FTO)
