The House has to impeach him again and as soon as possible.
AND for the same thing. Same articles of impeachment, add anything we’ve learned since, subpoena Bolton and others first, resubmit.

The lesson of this can’t be that what the president did isn’t impeachable.

It needs to be that the Senate can’t shirk its responsibilities.
What the House needs to do now is the equivalent of a teacher returning a terribly written paper with FAIL - REWRITE AND RETURN scrawled in huge red letters on it.

Until he leaves office this must be an impeachment government and nothing more.
The case is simple: the Senate is constitutionally required to hold a trial if the House votes to impeach.

The Senate voted to not admit evidence or hear witnesses.

The Senate did not hold a trial.

The House must now force the Senate to fulfill their inconvenient obligation.
1) Everyone really needs to stop being afraid to play hardball because of what the media might say.

2) Anyone who would buy that narrative is lost anyway.

3) I think the media narrative would be IMPEACHMENT YESSSSSS YES MORE IMPEACHMENT OH SWEET TRAFFIC WE LOVES IT PRECIOUS
The Republican Party has been behaving like literal crazy people and blatant hypocrites for years. Years.

They haven't let "media narrative" sway them from doing the wrong thing.

Nor should anybody let it sway them from doing the right thing.

Fight back hard.

Re-impeach.
Counter-argument: No they didn't.

Let's not make their arguments for them. Let's not start pre-defeated. Let's take the fight to them.

Mitch: We already tried him!!

Nancy: If that's true, Mitch, then why are we reimpeaching him and sending it back to you?
What I like about this strategy is that McConnell is in no way expecting it.

He's not a political genius. He's just entirely shameless and willing to expose other people's willingness to believe that if they play nice, he'll play nice, even as he shreds the rules.

Reimpeach.
I think the media is going to push a "both sides" false equivalency showing both sides fighting nasty even if one side is bending over backward to follow every last rule.

I think that because that's what's happening.

Better play hardball now.

Reimpeach.
I doubt McConnell has the slightest idea what to do with real pushback. I suspect he's soft and flabby from decades of what he's received, which is unaccountable good faith from those he's shown ceaseless bad faith.

Time to make his criminal baby king HIS problem.

Reimpeach.
Democrats MUST stop being afraid to ruthlessly push very popular things that absolutely must be done.

It's time to fight back, and fight in unexpected ways.

70% of the American people want a Senate trial. They deserve one.

The House must re-impeach.

That's the message, it's a simple one, it's effective, it would have broad public support, it would put those craven Republican Senators in a serious bind, and there is no reason to not pursue it.

Reimpeach.

Then announce what the next impeachments will be. Like Marvel movies.
The emoluments

The rape and sexual assault

Obstruction of the Mueller investigation

Campaign finance fraud

Jury tampering and witness threatening

Border concentration camps

The Trump university fraud.

Always Be Impeaching. ALWAYS be impeaching.
They'll complain it's unprecedented, and overreach, and underhanded, and so what. None of that ever stopped them, nor did the "media narrative" harm them.

Their obligation is a trial. A trial includes witnesses and evidence. And the House shouldn't let them dodge it.

Re-impeach
People who support Trump will hate it, and so ... what? They'll vote for Trump? They're ALREADY doing that.

Poor babies. They already did the worst thing. Now all they can threaten is second-worst.

Meanwhile all Trump's dirty laundry aired in the media 24/7.

Re-impeach.
Re-impeach because the lesson can NOT be that using the office of the presidency to personally benefit isn't impeachable. Certainly not in order to tamper with elections.

And that's the argument the Senate is prepared to accept

HELL no.

FAIL. REWRITE and RETURN

Re-impeach
The answer to "You can't do that!" appears to be "Then why is it that we're doing it?"

Nancy Pelosi and the House of Representative have the power to do this, and they should. Not because it is aggressive (though it is), but because it is right.

Impeach his ass again.
No, he will do it again.

But I also don't think that's a reason to not do it.

I actually think the opposite: It's THE reason to do it.

Expose America to the spectacle of him exonerating an obvious criminal again and again.
Mitch McConnell is an anti-democracy, anti-America, fully corrupt and complicit authoritarian thug.

That should be HIS problem more than it's ours.

Re-impeach.
If you think that this impeachment has been GOOD for Republicans politically, I honestly have nothing to say to you. Enjoy the alternate world you live in. If they have the old recipe Nabisco Wheatables there, pick me up a box.
This reveals the sort of shallow thinking we're up against.

This sham acquittal, the shocking brutality of the defense, the craven posturing to defend it, are opening a lot of eyes to just how bad Republicans are.

The worst case scenario would have been no impeachment.
Finally, re-impeach because what is in contention is a President claiming the right to meddle with elections, and a Senate willing to bestow that right.

Re-impeach to put constant pressure and distraction and scrutiny on those villains.

Simply waiting for elections is naive.
Another fine reason to re-impeach: to make sure they know that it isn’t over for them, and never will be.
Re-impeach the president. cnn.com/2020/02/01/pol…
