30 chapters plus annexes on 1,598 pages, covering everything from tariffs, food safety, product standards, and services (not very ambitious), to patents, etc, investment, labour, environment, dispute settlement & more

Q. Why did CETA take 7 years?

The depth and breadth, requiring lots of work — above all, lots of concessions by both sides.

Let's hope this is for public consumption, not what will happen inside the talks.

Otherwise Jan 1, 2021 won't look pretty.
