Me : Depends upon what you're talking about, the audience and whether you're confusing evolution with diffusion - different things. A virus diffuses but it also evolves over multiple waves of diffusion.
Me : Ok, once something starts to industrialise (i.e. become commodity like, provided as utility) then it takes about 10-15 years to become the new norm within the majority plus add 25 years for it to becone the new norm with laggards.
Me : From genesis to the point of industrialisation is normally 30 to 50 years. There is small amount of evidence (i.e. scant, weak, not statistically relevant) that is has found a new average of 20 to 30 years.
X : Life seems much faster.
Me : Overlapping waves of change.
