There is starting to be a lot of BS regarding this and it’s coming from mainstream media so let’s take a look at some facts shall we?

The article opens with some serious click bate and then drops into this.

The same ingredients that are in @PURELL are widely used in ALL antibacterial soaps! Antibacterial soaps have been known to be worthless since 2016. (Yes we know we quoted WedMD, it seemed fitting)

Now let’s move on to the next false claim in this article.

This claim is partially right but still 💩. An N95 mask is “rated” to filter small particulates such as sneeze and cough droplets from the A-Hole next to you. They however may fit somewhat better they are still not a total seal fit...

And certainly not the best a medical professional can use. If you want to 100% filter out that A-Hole next to you, you would be clean shaven (this goes for you ladies as well) and wearing a respirator with an N95 particulate filter. Good luck with that in public though.

Finally the last and only good part of this article.

Some history here, the hospital mask was not designed to protect clinicians, it was designed to protect you from them. While it sucks at preventing inward bound bacteria, it’s awesome at catching outward bound bacteria. This is why surgeons wear them...

The goal is to keep you sterile by catching their spittle from talking while they are over your incesion.

So the last part of the article is correct! If you’re sick, wear a mask if you have to go out. Don’t be that A-Hole next to you. Also @washingtonpost #BeBest🖕🏿
