And coming forward from there...

"But they blew it.

They went low — lower than low.

And they showed the watching world once again why, simply speaking, the Democratic Party sucks."

'... it was rather difficult to swallow the bitter bites of fabricated impeachment pushes with a simple shrug and “oh well” hug.

Well, Trump is right. Love does not mean tolerance of evil.

Neither does it mean acceptance of evil.'

'Christian socialism?

Make way for the lie.

Christianity and socialism cannot coexist and bring freedom to the individual.

Jesus placed the burden of living out the faith on the shoulders of the individuals.'

'We always knew those on the left, particularly the scholarly, intellectual, high-brow elitist of the left, were in love with Karl Marx.

And Vladimir Lenin.

And Benito Mussolini.

And Joseph Stalin.

And Che Guevara.

And the like.'

'And now the left has its next impeachment cause.

USA Today: “Nancy Pelosi: Trump impeachment witness Vindman’s ‘shameful’ firing a ‘brazen act of retaliation.’

The next dagger to throw: witness retaliation.

Abuse of presidential power.'

'They get cover for their radicalism from Sen. Bernie Sanders, the open socialist.

But Pete Buttigieg, Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren, Amy Klobuchar — they’re all one and the same as a Bernie Sanders.

They’re just not as open about it.'

"House Speaker Nancy Pelosi barely let President Donald Trump wrap his State of the Union, and she was already putting on the show, ...
... standing dramatically and tearing a paper copy of the speech for all of the watching world to see — and then, later explaining her no-class act as the “courteous” thing to do.
Make no mistake about it.

Pelosi’s performance wasn’t aimed just at the president.

It was a show of disdain for all the president’s supporters — for all of patriotic America.
For all the deplorables out there she hasn’t been able to control and conquer.

This is a woman who’s done nothing but divide to conquer since Trump took over the White House.
She’s called for summers of resistance;

... deceived the American people about impeachment —

saying on one hand, impeachment wasn’t a possibility without nonpartisan support, while ultimately pushing impeachment on the wings of utter partisanship;
... saying on one hand the president’s offenses were national security issues that warranted immediate conviction, while ultimately allowing the articles to be held in the House ...
... for more than a month to allow her Democratic minions to pressure and shame senators into voting “guilty.”

The list goes on.

Lies are Pelosi’s politics.
Don’t forget the famous Pelosi claim that Trump even admitted — practically, pretty much, almost partly, anyway — to bribery, an impeachable offense.

Yet where was bribery in the final articles of impeachment?
Don’t forget the famous Pelosi speeches on the House floor to push for impeachment alongside a poster board of a blown-up American flag, while citing Founding Father principles, while speaking of her “heart full of love for America” —
... all the while deceiving, spinning and outright lying, committing atrocities and offenses against the very nature of the words she spoke.

It’s not just Trump whom Pelosi detests.
It’s all that Trump represents — which is to say, America First.

America the Great.

America the Exceptional.
And global elites, secretive, behind-the-doors’ political wheelings and dealings, shady, shadowy bargains that enrich the Capitol Hill crowd, but not the average Jane and Joe Q. American — not so much.
Trump, if anything, elevates the deplorable.

Pelosi, and her ilk, are the antithesis of the deplorable. Which is to say: the enemy of the outside-the-Beltway and outside-the-liberal-bubble people.

When she ripped Trump’s speech, she wasn’t just ripping paper.
She wasn’t just expressing rage at Trump.

She was showing her fury and disdain for all the MAGAs in America.
She’s forgotten her allegiance and oath of office.

She’s allowed her personal ambition and quest for power overcome her ability to serve.
That she did it just as Trump actually finished saying, “and God bless America,” is only a remarkable underscore of where her heart genuinely sits: against America.
Democrats tried to justify her petty speech-ripping performance as payback for the president’s avoidance of shaking her hand.

But the American people know better. Pelosi, as one Twitter critic wrote, “is a 2 [bit] partisan hack.”
It’s time for Pelosi to go.

It’s time for another to take her seat.
Americans don’t need politicians who think they’re better than the people who pay their salaries.

And you know what?

It’s almost assured voters will be making that clear this November, at the polls."

"Democrats, at the State of the Union, had the perfect opportunity to show their above-the-fray sides and prove that when it comes to politicking, their primary interests are country and Constitution, first; individual citizen second; self, third — if at all.
But they blew it.

They went low — lower than low.

And they showed the watching world once again why, simply speaking, the Democratic Party sucks.
Just think of the opportunity House Speaker Nancy Pelosi had to make nice with the president and show that, yes, she voted to impeach —
... but at this State of the Union, at this formal presentation to the country, in this historic, somber and even grand setting, she was still an American, same as he, and by gosh, they could both come together for an hour or two for the good of the country.
She could’ve smiled and clapped.

She could’ve politely applauded and stood.

She couldn’t risen above the pettiness of politics to show herself an American with a true-blue U.S. compass.
Instead, she ripped the pages of President Donald Trump’s speech.
Instead, she showed how her hate was more important than her concern for the country.
Instead, she made clear that with her, the No. 1 priority is to beat Trump, best Trump, take down Trump.

And little to nothing else matters until that priority is met — no, not even the country.
“[Trump] shredded the truth, so I shredded his speech,” Pelosi said.

Pelosi petulantly said.

So went the behaviors and rhetoric of the other Democrats, both in and out of the room.
“I just walked out of the #StateOfTheUnion,” Rep. Tim Ryan of Ohio wrote on Twitter.

“I’ve had enough. It’s like watching professional wrestling. It’s all fake.”
From New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez — a reference from the socialist about subverting the Constitution, no less, on Twitter:
... “After much deliberation, I have decided that I will not use my presence at a state ceremony to normalize Trump’s lawless conduct & subversion of the Constitution. None of this is normal, and I will not legitimize it.
Consequently, I will not be attending the State of the Union.”

.

From Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib, on Twitter:
... “I walked out of that speech. The lies, the bigotry, and the shameless bragging about taking away food stamps that people depend on to live — it was all beneath the dignity of the office he occupies.

Shame on this forever impeached president.”
More Democrats boycotted.

More Democrats left the hall, mid-speech.

More Democrats sat on their hands to show their utter distaste for, and disgust with, the proceedings.
More Democrats “turned toward the gallery” and “applauded” ...
... when the father of a killed Parkland, Florida, school shooting, shouted from the top gallery after Trump spoke of the need to preserve the Second Amendment — and was physically removed by security, an NBC News correspondent reported.
And honestly, this isn’t new behavior for the Democrats.

They did the same during Trump’s State of Union in 2018 and 2019; they boycotted, dressed in solidarity against this president, sat on their hands and walked from the room.
But this is a special time in American history — a time when, sadly and egregiously, the president of the United States was just impeached.
It was a farce and political hatchet job from the beginning.

And it failed to result in conviction in the Senate (quite properly failed, as a matter of fact).
Now it’s time for the country to come back together, as a country.

.

That’s not to say Democrats and Republicans should all get along and sing quiet gospel songs on the steps of the Capitol.
It is to say, though, that like it or not, Democrats are part of America’s leadership.

They have a role to play in American politics.
They have contributions that can be made and legislation that can be compromised upon and passed — and American people to consider.
They had a chance to shrug off the losses of impeachment and march from the State of the Union with a determined path to better the country, as one — as an e pluribus unum, one.
But they chose to sulk and scowl and whine like untrained toddlers.

They chose self first, country not at all.
And on that, Democrats missed a massive opportunity to show themselves as worthy of their roles."
