Federal prosecutors decline to charge former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe for lying to federal officials about his involvement in a leak to the news media #FreeRogerStone apne.ws/KtkLn4d
McCabe's lawyers were told last September that McCabe should expect to be indicted on charges stemming from inaccurate statements he made to FBI investigators about his actions around the time of the 2016 election.
However, no indictment was ever returned, leading to speculation that the grand jury took the rare step of rejecting charges.
Prosecutors had been cagey since that time about the status of the investigation into McCabe. But on Friday, the U.S. Attorney's Office in Washington sent McCabe's lawyers a letter saying, "We consider the matter closed."

McCabe’s Leak

In October 2016, McCabe directed his counsel, @NatSecLisa to leak investigative info about the FBI’s @ClintonFdn probe to reporter Devlin Barrett.
The leak confirmed the existence of the investigation, something the FBI is supposed to resist. While his high rank gave him the power to authorize such a disclosure if it were in the public interest, the IG found that McCabe’s leak “was clearly not within the public interest.”

89. On April 11, 1995 at approximately 11:20 am, Bloomberg was having a photo taken with 2 female Company salespeople and some N.Y.U. students. When Bloomberg noticed Garrison, he asked “Why didn’t they ask you to be in the picture? I guess they saw your face.”
On another occasion, the Garrison lawsuit said, Bloomberg berated a female employee who had trouble finding a nanny. “It’s a f------ baby! All it does is eat and s---! All you need is some black who doesn’t even have to speak English to rescue it from a burning building!”

.@Maddow is fiercely defending McCabe & dropping of charges, & blaming Trump for the investigation, when it was the IG who recommended charges. McCabe admitted to leaking & lying under oath. Yet MSM/ Dems demand prison time for Stone, Flynn etc bcuz, of course, “rule of law.”
Now @Maddow is savaging Trump & Barr for speaking out against the prosecutors’ sentencing recommendation, basically a death sentence for Stone and much longer than sentences for many violent criminals. Stone was convicted for lying about boasts re: connections he didn’t have.
Yet, @Maddow in defending herself in a lawsuit regarding her slander and defamation of @OANN, that her statements can’t be taken as “facts.” I’m not sorry to say that she’s a fucking bottom-feeder

The stake out team set up shop across the street from McCabe's house and began live streaming at approximately 1pm local time. The stream lasted for almost four hours ending at around 5pm.

Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe says in a new lawsuit that Director Chris Wray wouldn't tell him why he was demoted from that job. He says "Wray and (then-Attorney General Jeff) Sessions had agreed not to discuss the specific reason" with him.
Not saying McCabe's complaint is engineered to provoke Trump, but ......
