The content you consume is the person that you eventually become.

You're not independent from the environment..

You & the environment have a feedback loop

Set yourself up for success.

Synergy over dysergy

We often hear:

-You are what you eat.

An extension of that in the real world is:

-You become what you consume.

No running away from this.
A human operates in 2 modes.

'Which is?'

-Consumption
-Production.

Production influences consumption like consumption influences production.
Both are done consciously and subconsciously.

There are certain acts that we consciously do:

-Like a new habit that we are trying to pick up.

There are certain acts that we subconsciously do:

-Like brushing our teeth.

Both examples of production.
The same concept holds true with consumption.

Certain content we consciously consume:

-Twitter feed, books, YouTube, blogs etc.

Certain content we subconsciously consume:

-The squad we hang out with.
We spend most of our early lives going to school.

Why do we go to school?

'To learn.'

What is learning a representation of?

'Consumption.'

Correct.
So you're spending most of your early life, consuming.

But even when you graduate, don't act like you are done.

You are not an isolated entity.

You are an entity that is operating in a SYSTEM.

And that system is the environment.
Spiritual people often say that 'we are all one.'

Some people wave it off very quickly.

Claiming its some 'woo woo' stuff.

But in reality, we are all components of a much larger system.
You can be the best left foot in the world.

But don't get too cocky now.

Don't get so cocky to a point where you, the left foot, wants to be cut off from the rest of the body.

If you get too proud, you'll make a foolish decision like that
A left foot that is cut off from the body is useless.

And a body without a left foot suffers heavily...

But it will still survive.
'What's the point bro?'

The point is that you are the left foot.

And you are operating within a body.

You are simply an extension.

And that's when you realize the environment and you influence one another.
There is a feedback loop that is involved.

You send energy into the world.

The world sends energy back into you.

A loop that forms a circuit.
This is the exact reason the content that you consume is important.

It influences who you become.

Consume shit, become toxic.

Consume value, become toxic or valuable.
'Wait... even if I consume value I still have the potential to become toxic?'

Yea..

At the end of the day, self-awareness is king.

The content is simply a supplementary tool.

The content can help you build self-awareness.

But ultimately, that is a task designed or you
You ever see a situation where 2 people have read the 2 exact books.

But the takeaways were different?

'Yea.'

It's because their self-awareness is different.

The content is a big player.

But your experiences, knowledge of self & crowd play a big role.
Knowledge is potential energy.

Your actions are kinetic energy.

The best way to turn the potential energy into kinetic energy is by creating a grand goal for yourself.

The goal will be blurry at first.

But itll clarify the more you work on it.
'What's a goal going to do??'

A goal activates your reticular activating system.

The filtration mechanism of your brain.

This allows you to decide which content to consume.

You have a lower threshold for bs.
A strong filter enhances self-awareness.

You begin to see thru the noise.

You see exactly what is important & what is noise.

You also see which humans can provide value & which just distract ya
The reason that many good people stay with toxic people for a LONG time is that they have no clue that person is toxic.

It's because their filtration system is weak.

They probably have 0 grand goals they are chasing in their life.

Let alone a small goal
If all you consume is negative shit, it's because you are a lost soul.

Not striving for anything.

You're one of those people who are hungry... get in the car without a destination in mind.

And keep on driving & driving....
Rather.. pick where you want to go.

Don't need to know the exact restaurant.

But just decide whether you want to get Indian food, Chinese, Mexican etc.

Blurry at first.

But then you can clarify from there. Then you can choose your spot
Your brain is a point A -> B organ.

Gotta supply it the B aka the goal.

Otherwise, you won't know what good content even is.

And you'll end up consuming negative stuff.

Becoming a negative sack of shit in the process.
My account deals with mindset, storytelling & communication skills.

If you have a tidbit of interest in that, then you're in the right spot.

Find more accounts on Twitter that you can learn from & leverage that
Content consumed piles up.

In a flash, you made compound interest for the best.

Or the worst.

Make sure you set the right goal, so you don't end up as the latter.
