Things that are a waste of time:

☆Revenge

☆Debating with people who add 0 value

☆Focusing on situations outside of your control

☆Trying to win people over

☆Bragging about past accomplishments while failing to create future wins

☆Mainstream media

☆Road rage
Your time is your most precious resource.

Start treating it like money.

You feel guilty when you spend your money on junk.

Feel a more INTENSE level of guilt when you spend your time on junk.
Guilt & embarrassment often leads to growth

Think about massive changes that you made in your life.

It wasn't just stemmed from light.

It was stemmed from dark which led you to the light
Let's go thru each item on the list to explain why it's a waste of time.

Use your resource more wisely & cut out the noise.

Laser focus 👀👇
☆Revenge

Revenge requires creativity.

And a lot of it.

Typically the person that you're trying to get revenge on feels a level of joy.

They are happy that they're able to have such a strong influence over your life
Life is nuanced though.

Sometimes revenge may be necessary depending on the boundary they crossed. That's for you to decide.

But make those moments a very rare case.

Not the norm
You typically feel drained after revenge.

Because it needs creative processing power, energy, focus, overtime work etc..

Sort of like driving a car on 100 miles non stop.

Will run outta gas real quick.
☆Debating with people who add 0 value

You'll see a lot of people fall for the trap on twitter.

Debating for a long time with someone clearly trying to troll, or a well established hater.
2 people you don't debate with:

1. Individuals with different core beliefs.

2. Haters.

Even if you are civil with group 1, yall are just gonna be spinning in circles.

With group 2, they don't have a civil bone in their body
'But debating moves the society forward!'

In certain fields, yes.

But often times, its higher ROI to build on an idea rather than prove to others why your idea should be believed.

There are exceptions. But be very strategic when/if you find the need to debate
☆Focusing on situations outside of your control

You'll be surprised by how much of your thought process is taken up by the past

And things out of your control.

A lot of 'what if' scenarios & regrets
What's done is done.

Your mind is naturally all over the place.

So if it starts thinking about stuff that you can't control, that's not your fault.

But it IS your fault if you don't bring awareness to it & redirect it to something else.
Make peace with thoughts by understanding and accepting them.

Just don't wallow in misery all day.

Continuously redirecting your thoughts to a new target eventually conditions a new mode of thinking

Which is why meditation & mindfulness are clutch
☆Trying to win people over

When you have a scarcity mindset towards people, you try to win them over.

You get extra hurt when someone doesn't like you or unfollows ya

So you alter your behaviors to appeal to them
But when you appeal your behavior to be liked by someone else, you are now disliked by a new 10 people.

And one of those people include YOU.

You'll feel shame deep down for not keeping it real with yourself
There are billions of people on this planet.

Not everyone will like you.

Don't win others over.

Win yourself over.

And that's when the right people become magnetized towards ya
☆Bragging about past accomplishments while failing to create future wins

I had this friend in high school named Chris

Was in the football team, got all the girls & was prom king.

Definition of popular
Fast forward a decade.

Fat, goes from job to job, 0 ambition etc.

Yet he lacks awareness.

Always bragging about how he ran high school .

No one cares.. besides him
Be grateful for past wins.

But don't use them as an excuse to avoid creating present & future wins.

That's a deep shame & will erode your confidence over time
☆Mainstream media

'I've been watching mainstream media & feel more educated than ever!'

Said no one ever.

Mainstream media is not trying to inform you.

They are trying to outrage you.

Glue you to sensational headlines to treat ya like a ratings pawn
Which is why media literacy is one of the most important topic In modern times.

Gotta be able to comprehend why content is being designed, the intent, who it is meant to target, sponsors Etc.

A lot of moving parts behind the mainstream media engine
☆Road rage

Use getting cut off as an excuse to build thick skin.

You build thick skin by:

1. Overcoming tough events.
2. Mastering the art of ignoring.

Navigating around road rage allows you to hit both 1 & 2
Succumbing to road rage gives you the similar effects of debating a hater.

You feel drained & sleepy.

All energy that you gave to a stranger that you'll never see again

Tsk tsk
From all the time that you gain back from avoiding these events ....

Use it to invest in yourself

You'll be shocked by your speed of progress in whatever you are trying to improve
Its sort of like the guy who quits aimlessly buying shots & rounds every week in the club

At first, it just seems like a few bucks

But after a while, they see they have enough money to buy that custom suit they've been hoping to buy
Same concept with being mindful of your time.

Ticking away homie

Each second gone is a second which won't be returned
Use it to level up

And build momentum which turns you into a gargantuan force.

Unstoppable
