Some of the virtues of sending Salawat upon our Beloved Prophet ﷺ
Qur’ān 33:56
‘Verily, Allah and His Angels send blessings on the Prophet: O you who believe! Send blessings on him, and salute him with a worthy salutation.’
The Prophet ﷺ said
‘He who invokes blessings on me once, Allāh sends ten blessings upon him.’
Sahīh Muslim
The Prophet ﷺ said
“Whoever confers one blessing upon me, Allāh confers ten blessings upon him, forgives ten of his sins and elevates his status tenfold.”
Sunan Nas'ai
Umar ibn al-Khattab رضي الله عنه said
‘Verily, supplications are stalled between the heavens and the earth, and are not lifted up until the supplicant invokes blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ
Sunan Tirmidhī
The Prophet ﷺ said
"Whenever someone greets me, Allah returns the soul to my body (in the grave) and I return his greeting."
Sunan Abū Dāwūd
As we know Allāh has prohibited the earth from consuming the bodies of the Prophets.
The Prophet ﷺ said
‘He who, when I am mentioned before him, fails to invoke blessings upon me is a miser.’
Sunan Tirmidhī
The Prophet ﷺ said
'Verily, Allah has angels that roam the earth and convey to me the greeting of my Community.
Sunan Nas'ai
The Prophet ﷺ said
“Indeed, those closest to me on the Day of Judgement will be those who confer blessings upon me the most.”
