Amazing move by @realDonaldTrump to install @RichardGrenell as Director of National Intelligence. Anyone in the Intel Establishment who does not like it can resign, and in fact Richard should show many senior people and their deputies the door early or else they will "choke" him.
Many people will tell @RichardGrenell (as they have told Wray and Barr) "don't take bullets for this guy because he will be out soon while us here in DC are here long term." This exactly why some people need to be dumped. It's the United States; not the Administrative State.

Quite an extraordinary move from an AG who claims not to care about opinions of media/POTUS/Congress to come out swinging against tweets from POTUS.
Trump tweets make it
'impossible for me to do my job' says the man who a minute earlier said that he does not care what POTUS/Congress/Media say/do.
Barr, essentially: 'I don't care what Congress/Media/POTUS do which is why I am asking @realDonaldTrump to stop tweeting becasue his tweets create distractions for me the person who just told you does not care about all the noise so I hope the noise by POTUS stops.'

1/6 Attached are excerpts from an Oct 2016 WSJ article reporting that the Obama DOJ repeatedly kept choking off FOUR existing investigations into the @ClintonFdn. DOJ told the FBI not to use any real investigative tools such as grand juries and subpoenas. Read the scrren grabs:
2/6 In the article, the FBI in general and Andrew McCabe specifically, come across as justice worriers in the face of interference from the Obama DOJ. It turned out that McCabe was a source for the story but he lied about it THEEE TIMES to the IG and then he lied about lying!

Intelligence community briefed Trump about the fact Russia is interfering in the 2020 election to try to get him re-elected.

Trump got angry because he thought Democrats might use the information if it were released.

The acting Director of National Intelligence's refusal to forward a whistleblower complaint to the House Intelligence Committee may be the biggest story in politics r.n. It's potentially HUGE. Why? Because it's a) documented + b) strikes VERY close to Trump himself. Thoughts:

We know the misconduct alleged by the unknown Intelligence Community whistleblower involves Trump or someone VERY close to him, for several reasons:
a) The DNI has said he consulted DOJ (in contravention of statute) bec the matter potentially involves executive privilege...

@kaytickety613 @kurizmatik @SethAbramson Dan Coats (then Director of National Intelligence, coordinator for all intel agencies and their inter-agency communications and investigations) stormed into the meeting and told his Deputy, Sue Gordon, she needed to quit. Six days later (3 days after acknowledgement) they quit.
@kaytickety613 @kurizmatik @SethAbramson The person went to the inspector general (legal step) and they determined that their info is of an “urgent matter”. This sort of designation means the info goes to Congress ASAP and DOJ is not letting that happen. So Schiff sent a letter to DOJ being like WTF. That is all we know

@realDonaldTrump Trump has some nerve to attack Senator Richard Blumenthal who actually did serve in the Marine Corps Reserves from 1970 to 1976 within the United States. Trump, on the other hand, had two doctors commit fraud and lie about him having bone spurs so that he could dodge the draft.
@realDonaldTrump It boggles the mind that bone spurs draft dodger Trump, who boasted that his own personal Vietnam War was avoiding STDs from all the unprotected sex he was having, would have the audacity to attack someone who actually served in the military about their service record.
@realDonaldTrump Trump is unhinged because Michael Cohen is set to publicly testify against him. In fact, in his opening statement Cohen talks about Trump’s fake bone spurs and quotes Trump as saying “You think I’m stupid, I wasn’t going to Vietnam.” How ironic that he’s there right now.

3) This is important because Cattler was approved and granted TS/SCI clearance along with the other senior NSC staff hand picked by Flynn - this allows him access to see raw SIGINT without violating national security - something denied to many other Trump appointees in Jan/Feb:
