1) We are aware of various discussions in relation to fee changes and promotional activities. For us, baking is a passion but also requires resources, especially time. As active community members, we also travel to #Tezos Events to make sure to stay updated for our delegators.
2) Also, as a small baker, the upgrade to #Tezos Carthage poses a potential threat to the smaller baking community. Some have shut down and some are aggregating into larger services (-> more centralisation). We therefore feel that in order for us to justify continuing to bake
3) we need to make sure that at least our costs are coverered. Unfortunately, this is not the case with the current fee of 7.99%. (Possibly not even with a fee of 14.99%, although we feel this is already quite high). We therefore had two choices, to end our baking service, ..
4) or two continue but so that it actually made sense to do so. We want to continue to offer our services to the community, especially since we believe it is important that smaller bakers don't give up. We will thus continue to operate until but will increase our fee to 14.99%
5) Last but not least, our bond was recently reduced significantly, which lead us to being almost fully delegated. At this point, our bond is almost fully frozen, leading us to not being able to access our #Tezos for a significant amount of time - even if we wanted/needed to.
6) We wish there was a better way to inform our delegators but until there is no Messaging Service built into wallets, it is difficult for us to effectively communicate these new TOS. Our delegators have approximately 3 weeks (Carthage) from now to change their delegations.
