This happened in #HarborCity at an event put on by the city. The kid that got slammed to the ground was there to help the event. He saw his friend being harassed and started filming. #OurEnemiesInBlue
And what you see is the community members present try and defend those children. You can see Black and Brown adults furious. It feels so helpless when one is witnessing this type of brutality while cops threaten you w their weapons of war bc youre tryna help the vulnerable.

When I was Assembly presiding officer I worked closely w/our sergeant at arms. And when I introduced the bill to end Open Carry I had to travel with armed escorts to public events. There is no excuse for this type of breakdown of security in a professional law-enforcement body

Suspect jumped a counter in a fast food restaurant and stole some cell phones. Helicopters in air searching, so may have been a search for him.

Per usual, subjects (black kids) we’re stopped for a minor traffic infraction, then removed from car, lined-up against wall/fence, they were searched, vehicle searched (even under the hood) without probable cause of a crime being committed. It gets worse.... #LAPD
When asked what the probable cause was for the search, no officers had answers.
But I’m not the least bit surprised, as I’ve witnessed this officer conduct similar stops in the past — in which I’ve personally filed 3rd party complaints with the @OIGLABOPC: see here:

#lapd something going on in #vannuys - inc#5386. When dispatchers start referring to a call by it's incident number only, it's usually something big. It's to keep people like me out of the loop as much as possible.
additional information: since I have not posted the location, sounds like the person calling is enroute to the location, and there are 4 people inside who PD wants the caller to ask them to come out.
I usually am able to find out more info about these calls via additional scanner traffic on other channels. This one is really quiet. No chatter anywhere
