You really need a view from high up like this one to start to get a sense of the many thousands of people protesting

When Democrats from elsewhere in the country ask me about 2020, I mention that a number of voters here who might want to vote for a Dem worry about the party's leftward shift. Many of them say they are Never Sanders people who would rather vote for Trump -- or not at all.
This tends to surprise Democrats from elsewhere. But the fear of "socialism" is real here. See the effective 2018 strategy deployed by (now Governor) Ron DeSantis. Dems ignored the attack as ridiculous. Voters seemed to think otherwise. nytimes.com/2018/09/10/us/…

Until recently, humans have been unable to **hack** the simple reward structures our brains developed to get us what we need.

When you get the reward without doing the work, your brain feels good momentarily but your body and soul do not get what they want.
Perversion/corruption of incentive structures in any system is the root of lopsided growth

- inject test, eat no protein, signals body to grow but no material, new cells fucked
- pay off police/judges, criminals do whatever they want
- unrestricted labour laws, workers exploited

DOJ told Judge Pauley on Monday that it had "effectively concluded its investigations" into who else may have committed crimes in the hush-money payments to Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal, and whether anyone tried to obstruct that investigation.
