Since a good-faith effort to provide feedback on @awscloud serverless product direction in a serious tone resulted in less than stellar results, I revert to my normal snark. WELCOME TO THE UNOFFICIAL @AWSCLOUD SERVERLESS EMPORIUM!
Here at the Serverless Emporium, we embrace the idea that the only code you will write in the future is business logic.
For real this time, unlike when we said that before with ERP systems, CGI-bin, and 15 other attempts at this. Lucy's not going to yank that football away from Charlie Brown this time around!
Any crapass store can tell you what they sell; at the Serverless Emporium we define ourselves instead by what we're not (servers), along with by our constraints (duration, language, portability).
This is the best code that's ever been written since 2015. If there's code written before then, it's legacy garbage that we decline to support in any real sense.
"What about containers?" you may well attempt to ask. The nicest part about "containers" is that it's a three syllable word; we at the Serverless Emporium will punch you in the stomach right around syllable two.
By blending together a wide variety of deployment frameworks and languages, we ensure that provider agnosticism is nothing more than a distant memory, and keeping your architecture diagrams up to date remains a losing battle.
A "Full Stack Developer" is now someone who can wrangle functions in Javascript, Python, Node, Go, Ruby, Perl, Java, and for some godforsaken reason Erlang for that one SNS-to-Slack function.
So come on down to the Serverless Emporium today! You can visit us at our website, at www-- "Internal Server Error?" WTF does that mean?! We need to get a new 5xx error code for Internal Serverless Error, then our website will be back.
