The report into UCL’s historical associations with Eugenics is published today. The Inquiry has been running for more than a year, but has proved to be beset with problems 1/n

This is SUPERB. @matthewcobb’s excellent brain, on what we do, and much more importantly what we don’t know about the most complex object in the known universe 🧠
Note the emphasis on the absence of a theoretical framework in neuroscience.
Note how he references top drawer scientists, but not the usual rent-a-quotes. Tremendous work here.

Again, 88% of these accounts were hacked: old, inactive, weakly protected.
They could easily be frozen in bulk. 😐
