Bankers like JP Morgan’s Jamie Dimon screech about socialism yet his industry is filled with the biggest welfare babies on the planet.
If we had let the bankers fail and go to jail we wouldn’t even be discussing socialism now. We’d be in a solid, real recovery, unlike the phantom, Potemkin Village fraud monstrosity we’ve been experiencing for a decade.
Any bank that has special access to cheap money from the Federal Reserve should be regulated like a public utility.

No banker should become a billionaire by gaming such a patently rigged system.

Anyone else following this issue of "pandemic bonds?"

"World Bank Pandemic Bonds which come due this July 2020. This will be in the neighborhood of $500 million which is perhaps a structured derivative time bomb that most people have never heard of."

This appears to be a BIG story. From what I gather, World Bank issued these bonds as a gift to investors, never expecting to be paid out. Now that it's time to actually pay out to fight a pandemic World Bank won't call it pandemic to protect bond holders.

If true, major scandal.

1. Counterfeit capitalism is running companies not to make money but to lose money. Financiers allow this for two reasons. One, they hope long-term losses turn into market power, aka Amazon. Two, they hope a bigger fool buys at a higher valuation, aka WeWork.

I read the sections "Is #capitalism to blame? Is #socialism better?" and "Large, successful companies" so you don't have to.

Executive Summary: Jamie writes like a Stalinist toddler. 1/5

Second, socialism produces "officials who often have an increasing ability to interfere with both the economy and individual lives".
