Fantastic margins + word of mouth referrals + repeat business = lowered cost of customer acquisition
So the question is how does one do this? First things first, appearance matters. How things are presented matters. Your language and framing of the product matters. The poet Gerrard Hopkins had a love of language.
Words are man’s attempt to grasp god’s creations. Words have psycho-acoustic qualities that give texture, warmth, and life to inanimate objects.
Want to increase of something? Personalize it. Attach emotional layers to it. Give the person something to compare it to.
The problem with people who aren’t good at this is that they model and mechanize the process. Great sales is the exact opposite. Emotional and emergent, flow, conversational, smiles, humour, wit, soul speak all in service of creating joy.
I’ll show you one way to identify them. They say things like don’t do biceps. It’s a useless muscle. 🤦‍♂️
Big arms attracts female attention while simultaneously warning others to back off. They make everything about efficiency and forget that humans want other things.
Remember what is seen as vanity by the modelizer types, is actually just the emotional empathy of the soul showing up. Obviously the presentation means nothing if there’s no substance. But all substance and no presentation and you got equally bad outcomes.
Start with the customer. How do you want them to feel? Work backwards. How do you want to feel? Start with emotions and logic your path there. 🤘
Empathy for people, logic for things.
