SCOTUS on Wednesday took up June Medical Services v. Russo, which considers the constitutionality of a 2014 Louisiana law requiring doctors who perform abortions to obtain admitting privileges at a hospital w/in 30 miles of their clinic, a credential many abortionists don’t have.
(Why not get admitting privileges??)

According to critics of the law, it threatens to shut down all but one abortion clinic in Louisiana, which sees roughly 10,000 abortions every year.
The Unsafe Abortion Protection Act was introduced by Democrat state senator Katrina Jackson, who told National Review she considers her bill “a health standard law” that is “very common sense.”

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced Friday that roughly 160 active duty soldiers will be deployed at two ports of entry along the southern border to assist the agency. Around 80 personnel will be sent to El Paso, while another 80 will be sent to California.
The administration’s decision to deploy military police support stems from the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals’ decision to block Migrant Protection Protocols — a program that keep thousands of asylum seekers in Mexico — in California and Arizona beginning March 12.

2/ Judge Clement's (CA5) dissent in a recent voting rights case violated this principle in a different way. She criticized the District Court judge, and and repeatedly referred to him by his name. ca5.uscourts.gov/opinions/pub/1…
3/ Identifying the judge by his name is designed to personalize the attack. Trial judges of all stripes err, and appellate judges can reverse those errors. But those mistakes, made in good faith, should be treated as such. Any errors should not be ascribed to the judge by name
