Yesterday, we had US board members of the Ụmụ Igbo Unite (UIU) group at the Centre. They were on an experience tour organised by Onye Ije.

It was an epic moment for us at the centre to receive them and give them a tour of our centre and especially our ongoing exhibition..
...titled Ọzọemena. The NIGERIA-BIAFRA Civil War memories always has a way of throwing ndi Igbo into quite an emotional rollercoaster and this wasn't different with the UIU board members. They listened and watched with rapt attention and meditation during the tour.
We also showed the UIU board members our Children's Library where we pleaded their support for the Centre and our activities in general.
The UIU board members appreciated their time with us and promised to take word back to their people in the US and more importantly, spread the gospel on the Igbo nation.

We @cfmemories are really grateful for this visit and will not relent in our vision.

We are still on the project of using Igbo folktales to teach values to our children.

Yesterday, we were at Stuff Link Schools, Abakpa-Nike, Enugu to carry out the project. It was such an experience for us and we had a good time interacting with the pupils and students.

In 2008, Kingsley Eze established Tenece. More interestingly, he established it in Enugu, going against the preferred Lagos. By establishing in Enugu, Tenece has played a major role in placing the city on the technology map.

In 2015, Tenece set up Genesys...
...Tech Hub (still in Enugu) to train, incubate, and fund technology start-ups. So far, Genesys has incubated and funded 8 tech start-ups, supported over 145 small and medium scale enterprises, graduated over 300 software developers, and trained over 1,800 tech enthusiasts.
All of these may not have happened if Kingsley did not go against the grain to set up his firm in Enugu.

This is the concept of “aku ruo ulo”. This philosophy advocates that knowledge and wealth acquired in the diaspora should find its way back to the motherland to birth...

Yesterday, I tweeted that I won’t be advocating for an Igbo Presidency until some conditions are met. I saw many people upset. Without seeing reasons, they feel I have betrayed them. A lot of Igbos are so angry that it has blinded their sense of political calculations. A Thread.
I will fail myself if under the current situation in Nigeria, I decide to be chanting Igbo Presidency with no clearly defined strategy to win the support of other ethnic groups. The Igbos have a lot of rebranding and reaching out to do. No Igbo political pressure group on ground!
Now, to agitate for an Igbo Presidency requires a whole lot of rearrangement, realignments due to the current political trend in Nigeria. As it stands, no Igbo politician has been able to build any structure or structures that can be used to reach out to others.

The grandfather & one of the earliest known #IgboDeniers is the acclaimed Ikwerre Writer from Aluu – Elechi Amadi (He schooled in Yoruba land & was a Nigerian soldier during the war).
He went to the Oputa Panel in 2004 & told the whole world that Ikwerre is not Igbo.

Later day Igbo Denying apostles include a certain Henry Okelue (@4eyedmonk) who is only known on Twitter where he claims that Anioma or Delta Igbo are not Igbo.
